According to the cooperative program between the People’s Police Academy (PPA) and the Royal Thai Police Academy as well as the agreement of the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, our delegation (including 9 members) headed by the Deputy Director of the PPA, Col. Dr. Nguyen Duc Binh visited and worked with the Royal Thai Police Academy from 12th to 15th October, 2010.
In the working program, Lieutenant General Aree Onchit, Director of the Royal Thai Police Academy, welcomed and worked with PPA’s delegation. In the meeting, both sides informed each other the state, the results of the recent training programs for the Police officers and exchanged the studying and training of four Vietnamese students, who are studying at the Royal Thai Police Academy.
Lieutenant General, Aree Onchit and Lieutenant General Col. Dr, Nguyen Duc Binh hoped that the relationship between the Academies as well as police forces of the two countries would be more and more developing and the exchange of delegation visiting, working and training would be improved. In the working program, Lieutenant General Amarin Akkaravong, Assistant Commander of the Royal Thai Police Academy (the former Director of the Royal Thai Police Academy), also welcomed and worked with our delegation.

On October13th, 2010, the delegation attended and witnessed the Sword Award Ceremony of the Royal Thai Police Academy for their students and four Vietnamese students as well. Col. Dr. Nguyen Duc Binh and other members of our delegation presented Vietnamese students with flowers and gifts in this important event. According to the assessment of the Royal Thai Police Academy, our students have been working very hard and strictly obeying all the regulations for two years so they all got good results.

On this occasion, Col. Dr. Nguyen Duc Binh also proposed the Royal Thai Police Academy to continue paying attention and helping Vietnamese students during their trainings. He also reminded the students to make every effort to study better in order to be worthy of the trust of the Communist Party Committee, Directorate and teachers of the PPA.
The delegation also attended the celebration of the Royal Thai Police force traditional day and had a look at some facilities of the Royal Thai Police Academy; visited a police unit in Pattaya City and exchanged with other delegations from the Police Training Universities in the ASEAN region.
After the visiting and working of the Vietnamese PPA’s delegation to the Royal Thai Police Academy, the intimate relationship between two academies in particular and police forces in both countries in general has been confirmed and fostered, which makes the development of the cooperative ties between the two academies more practical and efficient.
