The People's Public Security Political Academy (PPSPA) on November 19 held a ceremony to celebrate the 37th Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20, 1982 - November 20, 2019). General To Lam, Prof. Dr., Member of the Politburo and Minister of Public Security attended and spoke at the ceremony.
The event also saw the presence of Mr. Quan Minh Cuong, Deputy Head of the Central Organization Commission, Prof. Dr. Vu Van Hien, Vice President of the Central Theoretical Council and many generals, teachers, scientists inside and outside the People’s Public Security Forces.
Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security, Minister To Lam extended congratulations and gratitude to generations of teachers and educational administrators in the whole People’s Public Security Forces in general and of the PPSPA in particular.

Following the fine studious tradition of the country, leaders of the Ministry of Public Security have always attached great importance to improving the public security education and training sector as well as strengthening the contingent of teachers and educational administrators over the past years, thus contributing to building professional, elite and modernized public security forces. So far, the Public Security Forces have been 14 professors, 97 associate professors, 05 People's Teachers, 37 Meritorious Teachers, 557 PhDs and more than 2,100 masters in the entire People’s Public Security Forces.

Minister To Lam also spoke highly of the efforts of the PPSPA over the past five years. The Minister asked the PPSPA to take the lead in education, training and scientific research, as well as Party and force building.

Minister To Lam believed that every teacher or educational administrator of the PPSPA in particular and other public security educational institutions in general should uphold their sense of responsibility and constantly improve their professional expertise, knowledge and experiences.

At the ceremony, under the authority of the Prime Minister, Minister To Lam awarded Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister to three individuals with outstanding achievements in the public security education and training sector as well as the Certificates of Merit from the Ministry of Public Security to typical units and individuals.

On behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security, Minister To Lam affirmed that leaders, officers and soldiers of the People’s Public Security Forces always respect the great contributions of public security former leaders and teachers to the education and training sector of the Public Security Forces. Minister To Lam wished that Teacher Pham Tam Long and Teacher Pham Van Dan are always healthy, and continue to be good examples for their families and younger generations of public security officers.
