At the ceremony, Colonel, Assoc. Dr. Hoang Thi Bich Ngoc, Head of Basic Profession Department summarized 48 years of establishment and development of the Department. From its first days of establishment, facing with many difficulties, however, the collective team of the Basic Profession Department tried to make progress, step by step confirming the importance and contributing to the career of education and training of the PPA. Along with the maturity of the Department, there were the names of the teachers who have left many imprints in the hearts of generations of students and laid the foundation for the construction of the Department, such as: Mr. Pham Nhan, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Mr. Hoang Van Ngoan and so on.

Additionally, There were many teachers who have become the leaders of the Department and the PPA, such as: Colonel. Luong Minh Thao - former Deputy Director of Department of Anti-environmental Related Crime, the Ministry of Public Security; Major General, Assoc. Prof, Dr. Tran Nam Truong - former Vice President of the PPA; Major General, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Canh - former Vice President of the PPA... The outstanding landmark in the history of the Department was on July 11^st, 1985 when the Basic Profession Department was honored to be awarded the 2^nd-class Victory Medal by the State Council.

Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Major General, Assoc. Dr. Pham Ngoc Ha - Vice President of the PPA praised the achievements of the Basic Profession Department during the past 48 years and stated some key tasks in the coming period.

During the ceremony, the  former leaders and teachers, who used to work at the Basic Profession Department, had chance to meet and review precious memories during working time together at the Department.

At the same day, the Basic Profession Department organized a program, named “Revisiting the former school's location”  in Suoi Hai prison, Cam Linh, Ba Vi, Hanoi. Here, the delegation had a meeting to exchange with the board of supervisors and the staffs of the Suoi Hai Prison. Besides, they together visited the former headquarter of the PPA and reviewed their memories.
