The Best Lecturer Contest of the PPA in school year 2017 - 2018 took place from April 16th to May 16th, 2018 with the participation of 51 experienced officers and lecturers from faculty, department in the PPA in which 10 lecturers registered for teaching professional subjects in English.
The contest is organized to promote the emulative movement of the PPA, to encourage and motivate the lecturers to actively study and improve the contents and teaching methods, to facilitate the exchange of experiences in teaching and scientific research, etc., thus contributing to improving the quality of teaching and training management of the PPA.
This is also an opportunity for the Party Committee, Directorate of the PPA to evaluate the quality of teaching in the Academy, and then find out the measures to improve the level and teaching capacity of lecturers. Through the results of the contest, the Academy will select outstanding lecturers to participate in the Best Lecturer Contest of training institutions of Public Security Ministry in the coming time.
This contest has 51 contestants who have many experiences and achievements in teaching in the departments, faculties in the PPA. 10 of them have registered for teaching in English.
Participating in the contest, the contestants must perform 3 contents, including: preparation of lecture files; practice lectures and test higher education knowledge.
According to Major General, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Xuan Khang - Vice President of the PPA, the best lecture contest of the Academy is really a contest of good teachers system, enthusiasm, responsibility, professional knowledge. Besides traditional methods such as: lecture, conversation, practice, lecturers are good at combinations of teaching methods, applying teaching problem solving, using case-based teaching and enhancing the teaching techniques to support teaching.
In particular, some entries have demonstrated the insights of the lecturers on higher education knowledge and have taken systematic solutions to innovate teaching methods, improve quality of training at the PPA in the direction of comprehensively developing the capacity and qualities of learners.

“I personally think that this year's Best Lecture Contest has been a great success and a meaningful achievement to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the PPA’s foundation (May 15th, 1968 - May 15th, 2018)” - Major General, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Xuan Khang assessed.
Eventually, the Organizing Committee selected and awarded 7 first prizes, 14 second prizes and 21 third prizes for lectures.
