At the meeting, Major General, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Xuan Khang welcomed the delegation of the Zhejiang Police College, China and introduced about the PPA’s foundation, development in training police officers for Vietnamese Public Security force.

With regard to the international cooperation, the Vice President of the PPA stated that the PPA established the cooperative relations with many countries in the region and around the world. As for the relationship with Chinese partners, in May 2008, the PPA and the National Police University of China signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for cooperation in police training and scientific research.

Mr. Dang Xuan Khang hoped that in the coming time, the PPA and the Zhejiang Police College would establish the cooperation in police training and scientific research. Once established, this mechanism would help to improve the training quality of human resources for the Public Security force for both countries. The Vice President of the PPA also proposed the two sides considering the possibility of holding the joint programs to improve the capacity of officers, lecturers and students.

On behalf of the delegation of Zhejiang Police College, the Vice President Jiang Zhen Ming thanked the welcome of the PPA. The Zhejiang Police College acknowledged the PPA’s proposals and looking forward to the establishment of the cooperative relationship in education and training with the Vietnamese People’s Police Academy, Mr. Zhen Ming said.

Within the framework of the meeting, the two sides also discussed the cooperation opportunities such as: implementing the student exchange programs, assigning the officers, lecturers and students to attend short-term training courses.
