Exhibition of achievements in educational science of PPA and 2nd preliminary ceremony of collecting materials for the PPA’s library

The PPA is one of the leading centers of scientific research of the MPS. In the process of development, so far, the PPA has hosted nearly 500 subjects at all levels (including 02 state-level subjects, 98 ministry-level ones, 360 basic-level ones) and 25 initiatives. The Academy is also the leading one among the police training institutions on scientific research in student. Since 1998, the PPA has 1777 research works with 4466 students participating in the Scientific Research Prize for Student of Ministry of Education and Training; 07 scientific researching works won the first prizes, 09 ones won the second prizes, 10 others won the third prizes, 48 research works won the Encouragement ones. The Academy has been organizing different conferences, seminars and workshops with high professional quality, thereby clarifying the theoretical and practical issues on protecting social order and security as well as the education and training of the PPA.

 

Regarding to the implementation of the Project on developing the police profession library and collecting materials for the library, in the school year 2014 - 2015, 03 titles of materials was provided for the new courses in form of socialization with the initial success. The PPA has always focused strongly on developing the information resources including the materials collection. In school year 2014 - 2015, the subcommittees collected over 5215 titles equal to 6256 books and documents in form of digitization, CD, VCD, professional films, records, etc.

Besides, the PPA has received thousands of books by the organizations, agencies and individuals inside and outside the Public Security force, especially 10 thousand of foreign language books donated by Dr. Tran Dinh Tung, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Motor Industry Corporation, many of them are particularly rare books. The library information activities have been focusing on the goal of building the PPA’s library to become the leading center of scientific information of the Public Security force.

Speaking at the event, Major General, Dr. Dang Xuan Khang warmly praised the Center for Scientific Information and Academic Materials and the other functional units for the effective cooperation in organizing the exhibition. The Vice President of the PPA confirmed that the education - training and the scientific research that were the two strategic activities of the Institution had the closely relation; the positive participation of the officers, lecturers and students in scientific research was one of the essential measures to improve the quality of training to meet the increasing demands of society. He also hoped that through this event, the scientific achievements of the officers, lecturers and students of the PPA would be honored in order to promote the passion on scientific research of the officers, lecturers and students to contribute to the Cause of education and training, contributing to build “learning society” and the culture of reading in the PPA.
