Attending the ceremony were Lieutenant General, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Yem, President of the PPA; Major General, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Xuan Khang, Vice President of the Academy, Editor-in-Chief of the Web Portal; representatives of the Editorial board of the Web Portal of Hanoi National University; the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, the People's Security Academy, the People’s Public Security Political Academy, the Academy of Finance, the University of Fire Fighting and Prevention, etc. and the leaders of functional units of the PPA.

This Web portal is an upgrade version of the former Web Portal, which was launched on April 17th, 2008 under License No. 125 / GP-BC issued by the Ministry of Information and Communications at 02 addresses: www.hvcsnd.edu.vn and www.ppa.edu.vn. Up to now, the PPA Web portal has more than 46 million of visits, has been upgraded and changed the interface once time.

Upgrading the PPA Web portal and the Internal information page aims to ensure the objectives of applying new technology, enhancing the quality of electronic information system, towards better serve the propaganda, international cooperation and management of the Academy. At the same time, it affirms the practical effect of the promotion of IT applications with the theme of the academic year 2017-2018: “Building Smart People's Police Academy”.

Based on the requirements, the newly upgraded version of the PPA Web portal and the Internal information page is designed to be simple, user-friendly, supports for displaying on devices such as tablets, smart phones. The PPA Web portal supports 03 languages, namely Vietnamese, English and Chinese, thereby, it contributes to enhancing the ability to promote and disseminate the information about the PPA on the Internet as well as the Local Area Network (LAN) of the Academy.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Major General, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Xuan Khang, Vice President of the PPA, Editor-in-Chief of the Web Portal praised the efforts of the Office of the Academy and related functional units in operating and upgrading the Web portal and Internal information page of the PPA. He suggested that in the coming time, the Editorial board owould continue to improve the quantity and quality of information on the Web portal.

For Internal information page, it is necessary to ensure the regulations on information security and safety of the Public Security in general and the PPA in particular. Besides, the Vice President of the PPA required the Internal information page to grasp the trend of the Industry 4.0 - the Fourth Industrial Revolution is going strong in the world to apply to the system of information technology of the PPA, towards building the PPA to become the national key training institution.
