Implementing the
MOU on coordination in professional training of criminal investigations for the
Customs Control forces between the PPA and the General Department of Customs,
on March 24th, 2014, PPA held the opening ceremony the 3rd
professional training courses on criminal investigations for customs control forces.
The Ceremony was
attended by Senior Colonel, Assoc.Prof.Dr Tran Minh Chat, Vice President of the
PPA; Mr.Nguyen Phi Hung, Director of the Anti-Smuggling Investigation
Department, the Leadership Representatives of the functional units within the
Academy and all trainees.
With 100
trainees, the course was organized into 2 classes: the 3-month class for
leadership, commander and the 6-months class for officers of Customs Control
force. According to the training plan, the trainees would be equipped with the
basic knowledge relating directly to the work of leadership and direction in
combating and preventing crime and legal violations of the Customs Control force
in the new situation, and supplement the deep knowledge on investigating and fighting
against crime, especially the crimes relating to smuggling, illegally transporting
goods across the border, goods trafficking, counterfeiting goods trafficking, infringement
of intellectual property right, money laundering...

At the same time,
the PPA will coordinate with the Department of Anti-Smuggling Investigation to organize
the seminar and the realistic-studying tours for trainees to help them gather and
add experiences in organization and crime prevention relating to the field of customs.

Speaking at the
opening ceremony, Mr.Nguyen Phi Hung, Director of the Anti-Smuggling
Investigation Department expressed his sincere thanks to the functional units
of the PPA for creating the most favorable conditions for customs trainees
during the learning process in the previous time and hoped that the PPA would
continue to support the customs officers complete successfully this course. He
also asked the trainees to obey strictly the rules and regulations of the
Academy, make effort in the research and actively accumulate the knowledge and
experience to fulfill the duty of crime prevention under the function of the
Customs Control forces.
