The opening Ceremony was attended by Major General, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huy Thuat, Vice President, Deputy Secretary of Party Committee of the PPA, leaders of the functional departments and a number of the PPA students.

With the aim of raising the awareness and assessing the capacity of the Party Secretaries of the PPA’s Party Institutionsin leadership, management of learning, Party building and development; and create the lively competitive atmosphere among the Party Secretaries, the Party members and the Party Institutions, striving for completing the task of the school year 2013 – 2014. Since early 2014, the Party Committee of the Student Management Department has the plan to organize the Contest of excellent Party Secretary for students. Accordingly, the Contest was held in 2 rounds: a preliminary round at the grassroots Party Institutionsand the final round in the whole Academy.

Delivering the opening speech at the Contest, Lieutenant-colonel, PhD.Pham Cong Nguyen, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Student Management Department, Head of the Department stressed: “The Party Secretary plays an extremely important role, and be considered as a bridge to connect the solidarity, unity in the Party Institutionsof each classes, thus, it is necessary to hold this Contest to choose the most excellent Party Secretary. With over 2,300 Party members, 57 Party Institutions, the Party Committee of Student Management Department hoped that the Contest would actually bring valuable knowledge and useful lessons in the field of building the Party work for the PPA’s students”.

Attending and speaking at the Contest, Major General, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huy Thuat, Deputy Secretary of Party Committee, Vice President of the PPA praised the initiative on the Contest of the Party Committee of the Student Management Department. He also requested the examination board to work objectively and responsibly as well as encouraged the Contestants to try their best to achieve the best results with the spirit of solidarity, creation and having passion for learning. He expressed his wish that after this Contest, the positive results of the Contest would be popularized thoroughly to all of the Party members to continually enhance capacity of leadership and combativeness of the Party Institutions under the Party Committee of the Student Management Department.

After the opening ceremony of the Contest, the Board of State Management of Social Order started the first night of competition with 12 Contestants. All Contestants brought the Contest fresh, funny, witty in the introduction part; expressed their thorough understand the provisions of the Party work and their intelligence, sharpness in answering-question part and eloquence part.

the unique female Contestants Tran Thi Thuy Dung, 

Deputy Secretary of the Party Institution of classes B7&B10.D36

The final result of the first night of the Contest, the only female Contestant who bearing the name of Tran Thi Thuy Dung, Deputy Party Secretary of the Party institution of classes B7&B10.D36 won the first prize, the second prize belonged to Nguyen Duy Quynh, Party Secretary of the class B10.D35 and Vu Van Hieu, Party Secretary of class B1.D36; the third prize was presented to Hoang Binh Dang, Deputy Party Secretary of the class B9.D35 and Do Danh Toan, Party Secretary of the class B6.D35

According to the plan, until the end of this week, the Board of Reconnaissance Investigation and the Board of Procedural Investigation, the inter-college course will alternately participate in the preliminary Contest to select the best candidates to attend the final round, scheduled to be held in early March 2014 .
