During 13th
and 14th, February, 2014, the PPA attended the 12th
Vietnam Poetry Festival 2014 with many exciting and impressive activities. In contests
of poetry and art performances, the PPA was honored to be awarded the first
prize.
As annual
activities, on the 15th of the first month of the Lunar calendar, in Temple of
Literature in Hanoi, the Vietnam Writers' Association held the Vietnam Poetry
Day with the participation of many poetry clubs, art groups come from other
provinces in the country and the universities, colleges in the capital. This
program is part of framework of the festivals to welcome the Spring Season
which has been being held since 2003, with the aim of honoring the poetry achievements
of Vietnam.
In 2014, with the theme "From Dien Bien to Truong Sa, Hoang Sa", the
Vietnam Poetry Day wished to honor the Fatherland love, especially towards the 60th
victory of Dien Bien Phu (May 7th, 1954-2014) and the Island - homeland sovereignty.

The Vietnam
Poetry Day was held in two day of 13th and 14th,
February, 2014 at the main stage area at the Dai Thanh Mon Gate and Thai Hoc Yard.
Specifically, in February 13th, the activity with the name of the
poetry Camp was taken place, along with the contest of poetry and art
performance exchanged between the provinces and the universities.

This is the
second year the PPA participated in the Vietnam Poetry Festival. With many
exciting positive activities like a mini shop of displaying the PPA handmade products,
calligraphy demonstration, performances of traditional dance... was really
impressed with the numerous attendees. Especially, in the contest of poetry -
art performances, the PPA students were sent to the contest 4 special performances
include: Recitation “Con duong gom su" - composed and presented by Minh Cuong
(the fourth-year student of the PPA) to praise the beauty of Thang Long - Hanoi
ceramic road as well as Fatherland love ; Thu Thao (the fourth-year student of
the PPA) with the poem “Doi mua tren dao
sinh ton” and two song “Anh cong an ve ban” and “Toi nghe To quoc goi ten minh”
performed by the PPA’s art performance team that also received encouragement
from the audience when bringing the green colors of police uniform to Dien Bien
highland and express their deep love to the Fatherland.

The final
result, the PPA was awarded the first prize, three performances include Con
duong gom su", “Anh cong an ve ban” and “Toi nghe To quoc goi ten minh” is
also honored to be presented on young-poet stage on the main festival day of
February 14th.
