In the afternoon of October 26th, the PPA held the “Opening ceremony of the 6th excellent lecturer contest of the PPA” in the Academic year 2015 – 2016. Attending the ceremony were Mr. Major General, Prof.Dr.Nguyen Huy Thuat - Vice President of the PPA, Deputy Chief of the Contest; the members of the jury; the representative leaders, staff and teachers of the PPA’s units together with 54 lecturers participating in the contest.
“The 6th excellent lecturer contest of the PPA” is one of the focus contents of the Academic year 2015-2016, contributing to promotion of the “Good teaching, hard studying” movement throughout the Academy. This contest will encourage lecturers to actively exchange; research; improve the content as well as teaching methods; apply information technology, advanced teaching facilities together with methods into use. Thereby, it contributes to improving the quality of teaching and studying of the PPA. This is an opportunity for the PPA’s Board of Directors and units to evaluate the inherent quality of teaching in the Academy, thereby timely taking appropriate measures to improve qualifications and pedagogical competence of lecturers. Simultaneously, through the results of this contest, the PPA will select the lecturers representing outstanding achievements to attend "Excellent lecturers of the universities of the People’s Public Security" Contest, held in the near future.
About the contest of this year, the organization board has received 54 entries of 21 teaching units, which were divided into 6 specialty groups. The lecturers participating in the contest are excellent lecturers at local level. They have considerable experience and achievements in teaching. These lecturers come from the Faculties and Departments, such as: Department of Foreign Languages; Department of Investigating Police; Department of Criminal Police; Department of Laws and Department of Military, Martial Arts - Sports...

At the opening ceremony, on behalf of participating lecturers in the contest, Captain, Doan Thi Thuy Loan - Lecturer of the Anti-environment Related Crime Faculty said: “This is an opportunity for lecturers to express themselves; exchange and learn from experience in teaching activities; build the dynamic and effective studying environment”. She also promised to participate in the contest with high sense of responsibility, effort, confidence and creativity to get the best results.

Speaking at the opening, Major General, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huy Thuat, Vice President of the PPA wished these lecturers would try their best, successfully complete their work. He hoped that: Through the contest, the lecturers would promote their enthusiasm of creative labour as well as abilities; apply innovative teaching methods into practice; make efficient use of advanced teaching facilities, contributing to improving the quality of teaching and studying activity throughout the Academy. He also requested the members of the jury to work impartially, assess accurately the result of lecturers’ work with a view to choosing the outstanding lecturers to participate in the "Excellent Lecturers” Contest, held by the Ministry of Public Security in the next year.
