Implementing
the schedule of the academic year 2015 - 2016 and the MOU between the PPA and
Institute of Criminal Forensic Science, towards the 57 year anniversary of Vietnamese
Teacher's Day (November 20th), on November 11th, 2015,
the PPA in cooperation with the Institute successfully organized the Scientific
Conference "Improving the quality of training criminal forensic science students,
meeting the practical requirements in new situation", under the co-chair
of Major General, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Nhat, Vice President of the PPA and
Major General, Prof.Dr. Ngo Sy Hien, Head of Criminal Forensic Science Institute.
The
Conference has a presence of Lieutenant General, Dr. Nguyen Xuan Muoi, Deputy
General Director of the Political General Department, scientists, managers,
practical-experienced officers, lecturers and students majoring in criminal
forensic science.

Opening
the Conference, Major General, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Nhat emphasized that in
recent years, with the attention of the Party, State and Public Security Branch,
criminal forensic science force had many positive developments, basically met
the practical requirements of crime fight and prevention. However, the
challenges of economic integration process in the world and the increasing demands
of criminal investigation in particular and the criminal justice system in
general, the criminal forensic science force still revealed many problems and
limitations. To build criminal forensic science forces was increasingly formal,
well-trained, met the higher requirements of the fight against crime, it was
necessary to have a strong changes in perception and action, the public
security training institution need to enhance investment to innovate the
training programs and methods for students majoring in criminal forensic
science.
Overview of the Conference
The
Conference attracted the participation and comments of scientists, managers, practical-experienced
officers to analyze, assess on different aspects of the criminal forensic
science. During the seminar, participants focused on discussing and clarifying
a number of issues such as: the leadership and guidance in training the
students of criminal forensic science speciality to meet practical demands; the
current situation of criminal forensic science work and breakthrough
requirements in training in association with practice of criminal forensic
science speciality; the situation and solutions to improve the effectiveness of
training and using the students of criminal forensic science speciality.

After
3 hours of hard work, the opinions focus on confirming: Role and position of criminal
forensic science in prevention and fight against crime in the current situation
both in theory and in practice; Objective necessity in development of criminal
forensic science human resources who are excellent in professional skills, theory
and practical activities in present conditions; Identifying necessity in
enhancing the training capacity for criminal forensic science students... A lot
of valuable solutions were given-out, thereby creating the theoretical and
practical basics to propose recommendations to improve the effectiveness of
training and using the student of criminal forensic science speciality.

At
the ceremony, Lieutenant General, Dr. Nguyen Xuan Muoi, Deputy General Director
of the Political General Department recognized and appreciated results of the conference.
He believed with strong innovation and improvement of training quality of the
criminal forensic science speciality at the PPA would achieve great results in
the future, contributing to protection of national security, social order and
safety.
