In the exciting, emulative atmosphere to celebrate Vietnamese Teacher’s Day in November 20^th, 2015, on the morning of November 4^th, 2015, the PPA solemnly held the opening ceremony for the 24th postgraduate course and Master’s Degree Certification Presentation in 2015. Lieutenant General, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Yem – President of the PPA presided the ceremony.

Attending the ceremony were Senior Lieutenant General, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Van Nam – Member of Central Committee of Communist Party of Vietnam, Deputy Minister of the MPS; representatives of General Departments, the Departments of the MPS, Directorates of Hanoi public security department; representatives of the People’s Public Security training institutions; representatives of local police departments. On the side of the PPA, there were leaders of Faculties, Departments, Centers in the PPA together with all students of the 24^th postgraduate course and 246 postgraduate students awarded Master’s Degree Certificate in 2015.

At the ceremony, on the behalf of the Party Committee, the PPA’s Directorate, Major General, Assoc. Prof, Dr. Pham Ngoc Ha – Vice President praised 246 Master successfully upholding their graduating theses in 2015. He hoped that students would keep studying and researching to fulfill and raise awareness of theory and practice on the fields of: politics, law, police profession and State management on order security. Besides, they would show the interest, cooperate with the PPA for the development career of training and education in the PPA. He also congratulated 292 new students of the 24^th postgraduate course in 2015 and asked each postgraduate students to promote their high responsibilities, initiative, creativity, honesty in self-studying to achieve the objectives and requirements of the postgraduate education system; improve the quality, moral, sense of organization, strictly obey the rules and disciplines of the Branch, the regulations of the PPA to become good examples to the students of academy.

          Speaking at the ceremony, Senior Lieutenant General, Assoc. Prof, Dr. Bui Van Nam – Member of Central Committee of Communist Party of Vietnam, Deputy  Minister of the MPS said : At the present time, the politics, economic, social situation of the world and the Vietnam was fluctuating complicatedly, unpredictably; many types of crime with new modus operandi, tricks, organized crime, transnational crimes involving foreign elements, particularly serious crime tended to flourish increasingly sophisticated, cunning, dangerous; especially the activities such as taking advantages of religious and ethnic issues, destabilizing the security and order to hinder the construction and development of the country in the process of international integration. That above-mentioned situation required new missions for education in general and postgraduate education, advanced education in particular which would be suitable with the practice of prevention and combat against crime, ensure social order security currently. He highlighted: In the coming time, the PPA should evaluate the qualities of training, qualifications of lectureship, effective mobilization of scientists, practical personnel inside and outside the public security sector, foreign experts taking part in the postgraduate training. The academy would coordinate with the General Departments, the Departments, the People’s public security training institutions and the local police departments to advice for the leaders of MPS in establishing the scale strategy of postgraduate training for the Branch. It was necessary for close combination between postgraduate education and scientific researches aimed at solving the pressing problems of practical fight against crime in the current situation. In addition, the academy should develop the reporting schemes for leadership of the MPS to gradually strengthen the facilities, modern equipment to strive to build and develop the PPA to become the national key institution, deserved to be a training center of higher education, postgraduate education and leading scientific researcher of the Public Security Force.

At the end of the ceremony, on the behalf of the PPA’s Party Committee and  Directorate, Lieutenant General, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Yem – President of the PPA expressed deep thanks to the Deputy Minister, leaders of Ministry, leaders of  Ministry’s fuctional units; the Political General Department of the MPS, local units for being interested in, helping, coordinating with the PPA in the training of higher education, postgraduate education and advanced education which created prerequisites with the aim to become the national key institution by 2018.
