On September 15, 2020, the People's Police Academy (PPA) and the Criminal Police Department (CPD) jointly organized the scientific conference "Enhancing the effectiveness of managing mobile social order-related criminals: current situation and solutions". The conference is one important activity within the framework of the Project 2 of the National Programme for human trafficking prevention and fighting program from 2016 to 2015 with a vision towards 2030 executed by the Ministry of Public Security (MPS).

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the 6th International Undergraduate Conference on Policing (the 6th IUCP) was held online for the first time by the Korean National Police Academy (KNPU) and the final round was scheduled on August 28, 2020.

Recently, PPA has successfully collaborated with the Tien Giang Provincial Traffic Safety Committee and Save the Children Organization to reduce traffic congestion during the rush hour around the schools in My Tho city, Tien Giang province.

On July 27, 2020, Major General, Prof. Dr. Tran Minh Huong, President of the PPA attended and presided over the opening ceremony of 3rd training course on improving responding skills at trials for investigators in the police force.

On July 24th, 2020, the Ministry of Public Security hosted the International Friendly Football Tournament at the People’s Police Academy with the participation of by teams: the coalition team of Australian and British Embassy, Laos Embassy, U.S. Embassy in Viet Nam and the Department of Foreign Relations represented for MPS of Viet Nam.

Last month, within the framework of the Tackling Modern Slavery in Viet Nam project, World Vision Viet Nam joined hands with the National Hotline 111 to organize a capacity building training for hotline operators to ensure an effective consultation for Vietnamese people who are trafficked abroad.

On the occasion of 110th Anniversary of Women’s Day and 1980th Anniversary of Hai Ba Trung Revolutionary, the PPA’s Women Union organized a meeting on March 5, 2020. The meeting is a warm response to the “Vietnamese Ao Dai Festival Day” launched by the Ministry of Public Security’s Women Union.

The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) on February 28 held a meeting to roll out a plan to enroll students in all schools of the Public Security Forces in 2020. Senior Lieutenant General, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security chaired the meeting.

The Youth Union of the People's Police Academy (PPA), in coordination with the Youth Union chapter of the Academy of Journalism and Communication (AJC) and the Manulife Vietnam Company, on February 21 organized a charitable program to offer free medical facemasks and hand sanitizers to officers, lecturers and students of numerous universities and colleges in Hanoi.

On December 19th, the Traffic Safety Research Center of the PPA in cooperation with the National Traffic Safety Committee and the Asian Injury Prevention (AIP) Foundation organized the propaganda program on the traffic safety regulation to pupils at Phu Xuan Primary School, Binh Xuyen District, Vinh Phuc Province. More than 400 helmets were presented to the local pupils from the donor.

From December 16th to 20th, 2019, the PPA’s Department of High-tech Crime Prevention, the PPA organized the training course on “Identifying high-tech crime in accordance with the provisions of 2015 Penal Code (amended and supplemented in 2017) and measures to prevent and fight against high-tech crime” for 54 officials and prosecutors of the Hanoi People's Procuracy.

According to the approval from the Ministry of Public Security, on 17th December 2019, the People’s Police Academy of Vietnam (PPA) welcomed the visitation of the delegation from the Korean Central Police Academy (KCPA) led by Senior Inspector Jeon Janghyeon - Director of Field Response Department. On behalf of leaders of the PPA, Major General Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Xuan Khang - Vice President of the PPA chaired the meeting along with the attendances from representatives of functional departments.
