The Public Security Central Party Committee (PSCPC) on January 31 held a meeting to celebrate the 90th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2020). General To Lam, Member of Politburo, Secretary of PSCPC, Minister of Public Security, chaired the meeting.

The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) on January 30, held a video-conference to review the work of ensuring security and safety during the Lunar New Year Festival (Tet holiday). General To Lam, Minister of Public Security chaired the conference.

On December 19th, the Traffic Safety Research Center of the PPA in cooperation with the National Traffic Safety Committee and the Asian Injury Prevention (AIP) Foundation organized the propaganda program on the traffic safety regulation to pupils at Phu Xuan Primary School, Binh Xuyen District, Vinh Phuc Province. More than 400 helmets were presented to the local pupils from the donor.

From December 16th to 20th, 2019, the PPA’s Department of High-tech Crime Prevention, the PPA organized the training course on “Identifying high-tech crime in accordance with the provisions of 2015 Penal Code (amended and supplemented in 2017) and measures to prevent and fight against high-tech crime” for 54 officials and prosecutors of the Hanoi People's Procuracy.

According to the approval from the Ministry of Public Security, on 17th December 2019, the People’s Police Academy of Vietnam (PPA) welcomed the visitation of the delegation from the Korean Central Police Academy (KCPA) led by Senior Inspector Jeon Janghyeon - Director of Field Response Department. On behalf of leaders of the PPA, Major General Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Xuan Khang - Vice President of the PPA chaired the meeting along with the attendances from representatives of functional departments.

The Ministry of Public Security, on December 24, opened the 75th National Public Security Conference in Hanoi. Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc attended and delivered a keynote speech and General To Lam, Minister of Public Security, chaired the conference.

From December 12th to 15th, 2019, the PPA and the Dien Bien Police Department organized a volunteer program which delivered supporting sets of gifts which valued of over VND 600 million for 150 primary school pupils of 03 schools with difficult conditions in Nam Po district, Dien Bien province.

On November 27th, 2019, the PPA held the ceremony of graduation and awarding Bachelor Degree to more than 1,000 students of course D41 Vietnam and course D28 Laos, academic year 2015 - 2019. Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son - Deputy Minister of Public Security attended the ceremony.

The Ministry of Public Security on November 18 held a conference to review the five-years implementation of Resolution No. 16-NQ/DUCA issued on March 5, 2014 by the Public Security Central Party Committee on scientific research in the new situation (Resolution 16) and Directive No. 02/CT-BCA-V21 issued on March 6, 2014 by the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) on strengthening the public security science sector in the new situation (Directive 02).
