Attending the opening ceremony were Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security; Lieutenant General Nguyen Xuan Muoi, Deputy General Director of General Political Department; Mr. Nguyen Long Hai, Secretary of the Central Committee of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union; Mrs. Le Thi Hoang Yen, Deputy General Director of Sports and Physical Training, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; leaders of General Departments, High Commands, the units under the Ministry of Public Security, the police training institutions and nearly 3,000 youth union members of the Public Security force in the North.

The competition took place in two days April 04^th - 05^th, 2017, gathered the participation of more than 800 athletes from 23 units.

The PPA competed in four contents: military shooting, taekwondo, karatedo, performing Public Security force martial arts and won the third prize for entire group with 04 gold medals, 02 silver medals, 10 bronze medals. In details, karatedo won 03 gold medals in female individual kumite under 50kg weight class, female individual karate, male teammate kumite, and 01 gold medal in male teammate taekwondo.

This is the result of the training efforts of officers, lecturers of the Faculty of military, martial arts, physical training and sport as well as the Youth Union members of the PPA. Especially, thanks to the close attention and direction of the Party Committee, the Board of Directors of the PPA, the support and coordination of the functional units, the athletes of the PPA took part in the competition seriously, safely, successfully and left many memorable memories.

The Competition of Shooting and Martial Arts for the youth of the Public Security force in the North in 2017 is a practical activity to celebrate the 86th founding anniversary of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union; welcome the Communist Youth Union Congress at all levels in the Public Security force and towards the 17^th Communist Youth Union Congress of the PPA, term 2017 - 2019.

This is a healthy and useful playground for young people in the police training institutions to have the opportunity to exchange in order to promote the movement of martial arts and physical training in youth union members of the Public Security force in general and the PPA in particular.
