The thesis comprehensively develops theory systems on investigating into cases violates the law regulations on the waterway in the South of Vietnam by People's Police force such as: the concept, features of waterway traffic safety violation; the concept, features, content, solutions and the cooperation of Traffic police force in investigating this kind of crime.

- Basing on the comprehensive survey, assessment about the situation of waterway traffic safety violations in the South of Viet Nam from 2008 to 2017; the real situation of investigating the cases violates the law regulations on the waterway. The thesis contains comments, assessments on the achieved results, limitations, problems and states the causes of restrictions and obstacles..
