New contributions of the thesis:

1. The thesis has built and supplemented the basic theories of road vehicle theft such as: the definition of theft in general and road vehicle theft in particular, legal signal, characteristics of road vehicle theft; theories of activities of Criminal Police force in preventing road vehicle theft; legal basis, contents, preventing measures and cooperative relationship between Criminal Police force and other forces in preventing road vehicle theft.

2. The thesis has studied and analyzed the reality of road vehicle theft and activities of Criminal Police force in preventing road vehicle theft from 2010 to 2019. The thesis has pointed out the tricks and criminal characteristics of road vehicle theft and methods to prevent this crime. The thesis has also pointed out shortcomings and its causes in preventing road vehicle theft.

3. Based on theoretical and practical research, the thesis has forecasted the situation of road vehicle theft and factors affecting the activities of Criminal Police force in preventing road vehicle theft. In addition, the thesis has developed a system of relatively comprehensive solutions to improve the effectiveness of activities of Criminal Police force in preventing road vehicle theft in the coming time.
