1. The thesis comprehensively researches the theoretical and practical issues of the expanding operation in the investigation of murder, robbery cases.

2. Through the research results, the thesis has further clarified the concept and characteristics of investigating murder, robbery cases; built up the theoretical system related to the expanding operation in investigating murder, robbery cases such as: Concept, characteristics, process of the expanding operation... This is the first doctoral thesis researching for the expanding operation in the investigation cases involving both murder and robbery.

3. The thesis also surveys to clarify the reality and characteristics of the murder, robbery crime in recent years. At the same time, the thesis clarifies the reality of the expanding operation in investigating murder, robbery cases. On that basis, it identifies the achieved results, limitations and shortcomings as well as its causes in order to propose solutions.

4. The thesis forecasts the situation of murder, robbery and factors affecting the expanding operation in investigating murder, robbery cases of the Criminal Police force in the coming time.
