New contributions of the thesis:
The thesis is a systematic and comprehensive research on the prevention of insurance fraud according to functions of the Economic Police force with the following new points: 

1. The thesis has clarified and analyzed systematically the theoretical issues about prevention of insurance fraud such as: concept, legal characteristics of insurance fraud; legal foundation, contents, measures and coordination relationship of the Economic Police Force in preventing insurance fraud.  

2. Through surveying and evaluating the current situation of preventive activities of the Economic Police Force against insurance fraud, the thesis also has assessed the advantages, limitations, shortcomings and indicates the causes of the limitations and shortcomings in these activities of prevention. 

3. The thesis makes forecasts about the relevant reality and factors affecting the activities of preventing insurance fraud according to the function of the Economic Police Force in the coming time. On that basis, the thesis proposes systematical solutions to improve the performance of the Economic Police Force in preventing insurance fraud.
