1. The thesis analyzes, clarifies overview of research situation relating to the work of protecting criminal trials according to the functions of the Police Force of Criminal Enforcement and Judicial Support; analyzes, clarifies and building theoretical issues about the protection of criminal trials according to the functions of the Police Force of Criminal Enforcement and Judicial Support, such as: concept, characteristics and classification of criminal trials; concept, roles, characteristics of protecting criminal trials according to the functions of the Police Force of Criminal Enforcement and Judicial Support. The thesis also analyzes and clarifies the legal basis and principles; contents and measures; leadership, direction, assignment, decentralization and coordination in the protection of criminal trials of the Police Force of Criminal Enforcement and Judicial Support.

2. The thesis is conducted based on research methods, such as: document research method; statistical and comparative methods; methods of analysis and synthesis; ask for expert advice; case study method; practical survey methods; scientific forecasting method.

3. The thesis surveys, analyzes and clarifies the current situation of protecting criminal trials according to the functions of the Police Force of Criminal Enforcement and Judicial Support, including: situation and characteristics relating to protecting criminal trials of the Police Force of Criminal Enforcement and Judicial Support, such as: economy, society, security and order; situation and characteristics of criminal trials; weapons, support tools, professional technical equipment and facilities. In addition, the thesis surveys the organization, forces, and current status of the criminal trial protection according to the functions of the Police Force of Criminal Enforcement and Judicial Support; leadership, direction, decentralization and coordination in the protection of criminal trials according to the functions of the Police Force of Criminal Enforcement and Judicial Support. From the analysis, the thesis clearly shows the advantages, limitations and causes of limitations of protecting criminal trials according to the functions of the Police Force of Criminal Enforcement and Judicial Support.

4. The thesis forecasts consistent predictions affecting the protection of criminal trials of the Police Force of Criminal Enforcement and Judicial Support in the coming time, such as: general trends of the regionally and domestically areas; factors affecting security and order; favorable and difficult factors. On that basis, the thesis builds a system of seven groups of solutions to improve the effectiveness of criminal trials protection according to the functions of the Police Force of Criminal Enforcement and Judicial Support in the future.
