Ministry of Law and Order led by Major General Nanda Mallawaarachchi, the Secretary
to the Ministry of Law and Order of Sri Lanka visited and worked at the PPA.

Mallawaarachchi was warmly welcomed by Lieutenant-General Nguyen Xuan Yem,
PPA's President and representatives of relevant units of the Academy.
Working session
In his welcome speech, Lieutenant-General Nguyen Xuan Yem introduced the PPA's structure and training modules as well as it's success in international cooperation with other training institutions not only in the region but also in the world. He stressed the Sri Lanka delegation is the very first guest of PPA in the new school year 2014-2015, which would create the chance for two Sides to have thorough understanding and seek fields of cooperation, especially in police training and scientific research.

On behalf of the Delegation, Secretary, Major General Nanda Mallawaarachchi showed his satisfaction when being in PPA during his working session in Vietnam. He paid special attention to PPA's training models and organization, thus wished to create the close link between the Vietnamese People's Police Academy and Sri Lankan National Police Academy in police training and scientific research. Referring to the fact that Sri Lankan National Police Academy was newly established, he emphasized the need of support from the PPA, especially in editing police training documents on crime prevention and suppression and police science research. Major General Nanda Mallawaarachchi fully supported the cooperation between two training institutions and believed that there would be a Memorandum of Understanding between two Sides in the coming time.
At the end of visit, the Delegation
had a short campus tour and took memorial photos.
