In the
framework of cooperation with the Office of the Australian Federal Police (AFP),
on 26th May, 2014, the trainees of 34th Asia Region Law Enforcement
Management Program (ARLEMP) had the presentation at the PPA. Joining the
presentation were numerous officials and lecturers of the faculties, departments
and divisions within the PPA.
Opening the presentation,
the trainees of ARLEMP were introduced about the history, organizational
structure and functions of the PPA. They were impressed with the development as
well as the achievements of the Academy. On behalf of the course, representative
of RMIT University thanked to the PPA for the warm welcome.

The officials
and lecturers of the PPA were introduced some of the issues that related to human
trafficking and illegal migration by 4 students of ARLEMP 34. At the same time,
all participants discussed openly in order to raise awareness in the prevention
and suppression of these crimes. This was really the opportunity for officials,
lecturers of the PPA to know more about these serious crimes which became the hot
issues in global in general and Vietnam in particular.
At the
presentation, Lieutenant Colonel Lam Tien Dung, Postgraduate Training Faculty
of the PPA made the presentation on the theme “Human trafficking and illegal
migrants in Vietnam”. With this theme, the trainees of ARLEMP understood about
the crime situation in Vietnam and affirmed to strengthen cooperation with the
Academy in the prevention and suppression of crimes relating trafficking in
human beings and illegal migration in the coming time.

The presentations
left the deep impression for trainees of ARLEMP and officials, lecturers of the
PPA. According to the plan, on 2nd June, the Youth Union of the
Academy and Football Team of ARLEMP 34 will have a friendly soccer match.
