Under the approval of the Leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, the People’s Police Academy (PPA) has been cooperating with Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT University) to establish and implement a joint master program on cyber security within the framework of Project on “Training cadres abroad using state budget for the 2013-2020 period" (Decision No. 599/QD-TTg dated 17/4/2013).
Within the framework of the cooperation between the two institutions, on December 1st 2017, Professor Peter Coloe, Vice – President of RMIT University, Pro Vice Chancellor of College of Science, Engineering and Health and his colleague paid a visit to the People’s Police Academy. Major General Associate Professor Doctor Dang Xuan Khang – Vice President of PPA chaired the meeting, attended by representatives of some functional units included: International Cooperation Department, Education and Training Management Department and Postgraduate Training Faculty.
At the meeting, on behalf of the Board of Directors of PPA, Major General Dang Xuan Khang welcomed and introduced about the training model of the Academy. At the same time, he appreciated RMIT University for its close cooperation to prepare for the joint master program between the two institutions. Afterwards, the two sides exchanged many important issues about necessary steps related to the approval procedures, enrollment procedures and the preparation for the program implementation in the coming time.

Speaking at the meeting, Professor Peter Coloe appreciated and expressed the pleasure to cooperate with the People’s Police Academy. He also shared a lot of ideas and important directions to implement the joint master program with the Academy. He and his colleagues at RMIT University would closely cooperate with PPA to successfully implement the program.
