In the early morning of August 26^th, 2016, the PPA solemnly, reverently held the flower offering ceremony to President Ho Chi Minh, the former Ministers of the Interior, the Ministry of Public Security and launching ceremonyof the political - social practice. Attending the ceremony were Lieutenant General, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Yem - Secretary of Party Committee, President of the PPA; Major General, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Ngoc Ha -Vice President of the PPA; Major General, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Xuan Khang - Vice President of the PPA;representatives of the Departments, the members of the Steering Committee of the political - social practice and more than 1000 students of the PPA.Speaking at the launching ceremony, the President of the PPA reminded the officers and the studentsof the purpose and significance of the “Journey to Uncle Ho’s hometown”; and requiredthem to raise the spirit of responsibility and promote the tradition of the heroicPPA to complete the assigned tasks.

Going over 300km, the delegation of the PPA (led by Major General, Prof. Dr. Pham Ngoc Ha - Vice President of the PPA) arrived at Nam Dan district, Nghe An province at noon of the same day. The Public Security Department of Nghe An Province, local authority and people gave the delegation of the PPA a warm welcome; held a ceremony to receive and assign 1,381students to practice at 05 communes (Kim Lien, Hung Tien, Xuan Nam, Nam Linh, Nam Giang).

On August 27^th, 2016, the delegation of the PPA organized a lot of activities: offering flowers to the President Ho Chi Minh in Kim Lien relic; offering flowers at the cemetery, the monument of heroes and martyrs; cleaning the headquarters of the local authority, cultural facilities and rural roadsat 05 communes.

In recent 9 years, the PPA hasheld the political - social practicefor nearly 10,000 students in many places across the country such as Bac Giang, Bac Ninh, Hai Duong, Vinh Phuc, Phu Tho, Ninh Binh, Quang Tri, Quang Ninh and Tay Ninh. This is an important activity within the curriculum of the PPA after students completed the subjects of political theory. The purposes of this activity are to help the students deepen the awareness of the guidelines and policies of the Party and the law of State; have a chance to compare the theory with the practice; educate the traditional revolution, patriotism, ethnic pride; practice the political spirit, communication experience, the ability to mobilize the masses to join the movement “All people protect national security” and life skills for students.

As planned, during the political - socialpractice, the PPA’sofficers and students would participate in meaningful activities such as:

- Do “3 together” (eattogether, staytogether, worktogether) in the family of the local people.

- Learn about the organization and operation of local political systems; situation of politics, economy, culture, social security and order in the locality.

- Join some professional activities with the local police force such as: carry out the patrols to ensure order and social safety; propagandize and mobilize masses to join the movement “All people protect national security”; propagandize law on prevention of crime, social evils, school violence and law on traffic safety.

- Participate in the social activity, help the people restore the welfare works;clean up the cultural works, public areas.

- Visit the historic relic, the martyrs cemetery; implement the activities of gratitude and charity; organize the exchange activities of culture, sports with the youthand people.

With the spirit of celebrating 71 years of the August Revolution and National Day; with a sense of responsibility, determination, pride of the heroic tradition of the PPA, especially the coordination and assistance of the Public Security Department of Nghe An province, the authority and people of locality, the political - social practice would be undoubtedly successful, leave a good impression on the local authority and people.
