Evening Gala - Welcoming New Year 2014

Attending the Evening Gala were representatives of the Embassy of Laos and Indonesia in Vietnam; representatives of the Youth Union of the General Department of Building up Force, the police training institutions in the Northern and units twinned with the PPA. As for the PPA were the Board of Director, leaders of Departments, representatives of the Youth Union, Women's Union, Labor Union and students of the Academy.

The Evening Gala - Welcoming New Year 2014 was held by the Foreign Languages Department and the Youth Union of the PPA for the purposes of creating joyful and excited atmosphere in officials and students of the Academy; increasing communication, solidarity and friendship between Vietnamese students and international students studying in the Academy as well as enhancing the cooperation between the PPA and international organizations. This was also a chance for the officials and students of the PPA to learn about the culture and customs of some countries in the world.

Opening the Evening Gala, on behalf of the Party, the Directorate of the PPA, Major General, Dr. Dang Xuan Khang, Vice President of the Academy spoke the Opening Speech in English, thereby he send the new year greetings to all of officers, teachers, employees and students of the PPA as well as the domestic and foreign partners with the wish to have a happy and successful new year.

At the Gala, all of performances were arranged spectacularly and meticulously, expressed the culture of many countries around the world. Each item showed not only talents but also language skills of the Vietnamese students such as the English duet “Shine your way”, Japanese song “Namida no monogatari”, French song “Leroi du mon”, etc. Besides, the traditional songs and dances like “Vietnam - Laos Sentiment”, “Cherry” performed by Laotian and Cambodian students made the Gala more cheerful and received passionate support of the audiences.

At the end of the Evening Gala, all of the representatives, students and audiences held hands and sang the potpourri of songs welcoming the New Year 2014. This last performance left the deep impression about the emotional Evening Gala and promised the more meaningful and special ones in the next years.
