I am very happy today to attend the evening gala
"Welcoming the New year 2014". This is one of the most meaningful
events for all the staff, teachers and students of the People’s Police Academy
and our distinguished guests, domestic and foreign partners. On behalf of the
Board of Directorate of the People’s Police Academy, I would like to extend our
warm welcome to all the Leaders, distinguished guests, and students and wishing
all of you good health, happiness and success.

Ladies and gentlemen,
The year 2013 is a very meaningful year which marks the 45
years of development of the People's police Academy. On 14th October, 2013, on
the occasion of the new school year 2013-2014 and the 45th Foundation Anniversary, the People’s Police Academy was honored to be awarded by
the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam the first - class Fatherland
Defense Order for the outstanding achievements in training, building up the
police force, maintaining the social order and safety, contributing to the
cause of building, and developing the country.
In addition, the Minister
of Public Security has approved the project of building up the People's Police Academy
to become the significant training Institution of the Ministry of Public
Security in 2015 and of the State in 2020. These are important landmarks of the
development of the Academy. This asserts that teachers and students of the PPA
will have to make greater efforts to fulfill the proposed targets in the year
2014, contributing to the development of police scientific research and police training.

tonight, apart from representatives of Ministries, branches, local agencies of Vietnam, we are very happy to welcome
representatives of foreign affair agencies, and foreign police colleagues who
have had good relationship and cooperation with Ministry of Public Security and the People's Police Academy.
On behalf of the Board of Directorate, I would like to take this opportunity to
express our sincere thanks for your supports and cooperation and hope to
receive more supports and cooperation in the future.

Ladies and gentlemen,
The calender year of 2013 is coming to the end and the New Year 2014 is
coming in two weeks. Tonight the People’s Police Academy
organizes the evening cultural performances to welcome the New Year 2014.
Now let’s hope that all the best things and happiness will come to us in the New Year.
