The People's Police Academy (PPA) and the Counter Narcotics Police Department (CNPD) held a ceremony on January 19 to sign a cooperation program.
Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security attended and delivered a keynote speech at event.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh recognized and praised the two units for their working coordination and expressed his belief that the PPA and CNPD will achieve fruitful results of their relationship and close coordination, contributing for improving the quality and efficiency of teaching and scientific research.

The Deputy Minister asked the two units to associate their training of policemen with the real task requirements in the fight against drug-related crime while strengthening coordination with regional countries in analyzing risks, challenges and consequences of drug-related crime in order to proactively take preventive measures against the dangerous crime.
