On November 5th, the Anti-drug Crime Police Faculty
of the PPA held the seminar “Theory and practice of drug crime prevention and
suppression of Anti-drug Crime Police in new situation”.
The seminar was attended by Major
General, Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Director of Anti-drug Police Department - M.P.S;
Major General Vu Hung Vuong, Hero of People's Armed Forces, former Deputy
Director General of General Department of Crime Prevention and Suppression - M.P.S
and Representatives of the provincial Department of Anti-drug Police. As for
the PPA, Senior Colonel, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thien Phu, Vice President of
the PPA, Representatives of the units of the PPA and students of the Faculty of
Anti-drug Crime Police attended the seminar.
At the seminar, Major General Vu Hung
Vuong, former Deputy Director General of the General Department of Crime
Prevention and Suppression shared with the PPA’s students his memories of the
first days of the new establishment of the Anti-drug Crime Police Force. It was
difficult, lack of human resource, equipment, weapons and vehicles, but the
police officers attempted to overcome innumerable difficulties, kept the firm
ideology and arrested many criminals who illegally bought, sold, stored,
transported and used drugs. Over 16 years of building and fighting, Anti-drug
Crime Police Force has grown quickly, comprehensively; the Anti-drug Crime Police
officers are cleverer, more ingenious, courageous and have successfully completed
all assigned tasks. Major General Vu Hung Vuong said that despite no longer
working, he always interested in the gradual development of the Force and felt
greatly proud; though this force was still young, it operated effectively and
achieved resounding success.

Major General, Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan
emphasized the complex situation of drug crimes. It required each police
officer of Anti-drug crime Police Force to improve professional skills, foster
their love and enthusiasm for the job as well as training their sharp will to
fight against the drug related crimes.
The seminar took place in the atmosphere
of sincerity, openness which educated tradition, encouraged passion for this
job for officers and students of the faculty of anti-drugs crime police of the
PPA. Also, it helped the specialized officers and students to be aware of the
difficulties, dangers as well as silent and proud success of the anti-drugs
crime police force. Since then, it created motivation in studying and
practicing necessary skills for specialized students for their upcoming tasks.
