Under
the consent of the leaders of the MPS and the direction of the PPA’s Board of
Directors, on November 5th, 2015, the PPA in cooperation with the US
Embassy in Vietnam held a talk between Mrs.Karen Finkenbinder - Expert on
peacekeeping in the US Defense Cooperation and the Academy students on the
theme "US Police force in federalism ".
The
talk also had the presence of Mrs. Carolle Simon, Mr Le Duong, Cultural
Assistant at the US Embassy, students of 2nd Maryland Master Degree
course, English professional classes and high-quality investigation class of
course D39.

According
to the report, it was introduced about the role, position and organizational
structure of the US police force, the faced challenges of this force in society
today, the typical examples on law enforcement, mission and orientations for
the development of US police forces in the coming time. The PPA students actively
asked several questions relating to the missions of enforcement of the US
police force as well as comparison with the People's Police force of Vietnam.

Through
the talk, students of the PPA had a chance to update extremely useful knowledge
about US Police force as well as improve their foreign language skills and accumulate
experiences to serve their professional mission.
