On 21/10/2015, at the PPA, the Lieutenant-General, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Yem – President of the PPA had a courteous meeting with Mr. Chistohvalov Andrey Victorovoch - Assistant Principal in charge of further education of the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (RUDN) and Ms. Bakasova Elena Shamilievna - Rector of the General School for Foreigners the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia. The meeting also Leadership of the International Cooperation Department, Student Office and Faculty of Criminal Engineering.
At the meeting, the Academy President expressed his pleasure when the delegation visited the People's Police Academy and briefed 47-year history of building and development of the Academy. The training model of the Academy is recognized as one of the two key higher education establishments in the Public Security Sector. So far, to hold this record, the Party Committee, the Management Board of the Academy have worked out development strategies, innovated teaching methods, improved training quality, especially strengthened cooperation with universities and academies in the region and around the world. The President of PPA also stated that some of the Academy’s officials and lecturers who had been trained at the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia were holding important managerial positions in the Academy.

On the side of the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia, Mr. Chistohvalov Andrey Victorovoch also was touched by special emotion the PPA’s Leadership spent on the delegation when they visited and worked at the Academy. Mr. Chistohvalov Andrey Victorovoch provided brief information on operation of RUDN and confirmed that RUDN was always trust and willing to cooperate with the PPA in training human resources for the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam in general and PPA in particular, especially in the training and research of Police Science.
At the meeting with the delegation, on behalf of the PPA Board of Directors, Mr. Lieutenant General, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Yem expressed profound thanks to the leadership, staff, lecturers of the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia. The bilateral cooperation between the two institutions has fostered the friendship relations between the Russian Government and the Vietnamese Government in recent years.President of the PPA was confident that this relationship would develop better in the future.

Also at the meeting with the delegation, the Academy Director invited them to visit the Academy’s cultural facilities and infrastructure.

The
Peoples' Friendship University of Russia, abbreviated as RUDN was founded in
Moscow in 1960 as an international university.
The main task of this institution is to train highly qualified specialists for
Asia, Africa and Latin America countries. By this way the Soviet government
supported the country to escape from colonial rule in the late 1950s and early
1960s and enabled young people from low-paid families to go to colleges and
universities. Admission procedures for candidates were made through social
organizations and government agencies, embassies and consulates of the USSR.
Right from the early years, RUND students have received many types of
qualification concurrently: based on selected subjects and one or two foreign
languages. The RUDN graduates are very good at Russian and some foreign
languages, thanks to a unique method well-known in the world: teaching Russian
as a foreign language and a modern foreign language teaching system
Many years have passed, the world situation has changed but RUDN still remains
its traditions. Currently, the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia is one
of the world's most famous higher education centers. This is the only general
university in the world that attracts representatives from 140 countries each
year. RUDN has multidisciplinary structure with faculties and majors, this is
characteristic of the leading classical universities, including Faculty of
Agriculture, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Physics,
Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences,
Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Philology, Faculty of Russian Language,
Faculty of Environment.
