In the morning of May 15th, 2015,
Major General, Dr. Dang Xuan Khang, Vice President of the PPA chaired the Closing
Ceremony for training course on “Experience in investigation and international cooperation in
combating crime of human trafficking” co-held by the PPA, the US Embassy in
Hanoi, US Homeland Security Department and US Foreign Affairs Department.
Attending the Ceremony were Mr. Philip
Warfield, Leader of lecturers of the course; Mr. Stephen Kaiser, US Embassy in
Hanoi; officials of the US Homeland Security Department, US Foreign Affairs
Department and the US Embassy in Hanoi; representatives of the functional units
of the PPA, lecturers and 40 students of the training course.

During the training course, the participants
were provided the useful information and necessary skills for investigation to
apply to the process of investigating the human trafficking cases. The lecturers
of the course hoped that with the practical knowledge, the participants who were
officers in charge of the law enforcement would rescue successfully the victims
of human trafficking.
Speaking at the Ceremony, Major General,
Dr. Dang Xuan Khang required the participants, after the end of the training
course, would continue to spend time on further researching to serve for the
professional duties, meet the requirements of preventing, detection,
investigating and handling the offenses related to human trafficking.

The Vice President of the PPA also hoped
that in the coming time, the US Embassy in Vietnam would continue to coordinate
closely with the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam in general and the PPA
in particular in organizing the training courses for Public Security forces of Vietnam
as well as for the officers, lecturers of PPA, contribute to supplementing the
new knowledge of international cooperation in the fight against transnational
crime and investigating, detecting the emerging crime in the region and the
world.
