Following success of cooperative activities between
the Vietnamese PPA and the RTPA, in 2017, the two training institutions
continue to organize exchange activities. The first exchange activity is the
training course on crime prevention in the context of international integration

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the training
course, Major General, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Xuan Khang, Vice President of the
PPA welcomed 20 officers and students from the RTPA to attend the training
course at the PPA. In the context of international integration and the
establishment of the ASEAN Community, besides the advantages for socio-economic
development, the regional countries have to face many challenges in protection
of national security, assurance of social order and the rise of many crimes
such as drug crimes, human-trafficking crimes, high-tech crimes, etc.
Therefore, the Vice President of the PPA emphasized that the cooperation among the law enforcement forces, including the Vietnamese People's Police and the Royal Thai Police were the urgent requirement. The collaborative activities in police field should focus not only on crime prevention, but also on human resource training for police forces to meet the requirements on crime prevention in each country.
For this reason, Major General Dang Xuan Khang affirmed the important role of training courses between the Vietnamese PPA and the RTPA. The training courses aim to share experiences in crime prevention as well as contribute to building friendly cooperation relation between the two States in general and the two training institutions in particular. In addition, through the participation in training courses at the PPA, the officers and students of the RTPA also have opportunity to learn about the country, people and culture of Vietnam.
