of Public Security, between the date of 23rd – 28th, April, 2012, the PPA
police officer delegation led by Major General, Prof.Dr Nguyen Huy Thuat,
attended “the 1st annual conference: Comparative police education” of Annual
Conference of International Association of Police Academies (INTERPA) at
Antalya, Turkey.

On May 17th, delegation of Philippine police officers led by Colonel, Dr. Marcelino A Lipana, Deputy President of the Philippine Police University visited and worked at the PPA. Receiving and working with the delegation was Colonel, Assoc.Prof. Dr Nguyen Thien Phu, Deputy Director of the PPA, representative of leadership of the International Cooperation Department (MPS) and functional units within the PPA.

Implementing policy of innovating and developing high-level education and training program of the PPA, under the agreement of the MPS in finding, exchanging and cooperating with the police training units in the world, between 21st-29th April, 2012, the PPA delegation led by Prof.Dr Nguyen Xuan Yem, Director of the PPA, visited and worked with five police training units introduced by the Australian Federal Police including: the Australian Federal Police College (AFP College), The Australian Institute of Police Management (AIPM), the Police College within the Charles Sturt University (CSU), the Criminology and Criminal Justice Department within the Flinder University and the South Australian Police Academy (SAPOL). These units have been considered the top police training currently in Australia.

On May 2nd, Delegations of Cambodian Ministry of Public Security led by General Nop Vy, Deputy Director of the Cambodian Public Security Academy visited, worked and attended the Conference on reviewing 20-year post-graduate training at the PPA. Receiving the delegation were Major General, Prof.Dr Nguyen Van Canh, Deputy Director of the PPA, representatives of the International Cooperation Department (MPS) and functional units within the PPA.

On April 24th, delegation of University of Applied Sciences Krems (Austria) led by Dr. Karl Ennsfellner, Deputy head of Krems visited and worked at the PPA. Receiving and working with the delegation was Major General, Assoc.Prof.Dr Nguyen Thien Phu, Deputy Director of the PPA, representative of leadership of the International Cooperation Department (MPS) and functional units within the PPA.

On April 13th, at the PPA, Lao and Cambodia’s traditional New Year celebrated joyfully and solitarily. On this occasion, representative of the PPA director board, functional units within the PPA and many Vietnamese student at the PPA attended and congratulation Lao and Cambodian students.

On April 3rd, delegation of New South Wales police led by Nguyen Thai Luc, Senior investigator, Commander of the investigating unit under the Police Department for Crime Prevention visited and worked at the PPA. Receiving and working with the delegation was Major General, Prof. Dr Nguyen Van Canh, Deputy Director of the PPA , representative of leadership of the International Cooperation Department (MPS) and functional units within the PPA.

From 19th to 23rd March 2012, in framework of the Joint Master’s Degree Program on Justice Leadership between the University of Maryland and People’s Police Academy, Prof Kenneth S.Apfel, School of Public, UMD and his colleages lecture at PPA in terms of Leadership in Organization and Group, PUAF 699. On the way, he will be introduced and exchanged with PPA’s senior leaders to this topic and its relations on 23 March 2012.

On March 15th, a high-level delegation of Norwegian police led by Mr I var Husby, Deputy Commander of Norwegian Police visited and worked with the PPA. Accompanying with the delegation were Assoc.Prof I var Fahing, Head of the Norwegian Police University; Mr Osbjorn Rachlew, Director of Oslo Police Department; Mrs Maria Bergram Aas, Lawer; Mr Marthe Hamran, Coordinator of the Norwegian Human Right Centre.

In the framework of the project "Strengthening capacity of training traffic police at the PPA and other police training units in Vietnam" funded by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA ), from February 25th to March 3rd, a PPA delegation led by Colonel, Assoc.Prof. Dr Nguyen Duc Binh, Deputy director of the PPA attended a training course for senior officers from units relating to the JICA project at Tokyo, Japan. Accompanying with the delegation were leaders of The Public Security Force Building General Department and experts from the JICA office.

As a part of Asian Region Law Enforcement Management Training Program (ARLEMP), on February 13th, 2012, the PPA held a seminar of 23rd ARLEMP attracting participation of police officers from Australia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Philippines, Hong Kong, China, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Cambodia, Singapore, Laos, Indonesia, Brunei, PPA students and Palestinian ones at the PPA.

On 7th, February, Palestinian Academy for Security Sciences’ delegation (PASS) led by Major General Al-Istiqlal, Director Assistant of PASS visited with PPA. Receiving and working with the delegation was Colonel, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thien Phu, Deputy Director of the PPA.

In the framework of working and teaching in Vietnam from 12 to 16 December 2011 under the Joint Education Programs in Leadership’s Master of Criminal Justice between the University of Maryland and People’s Police Academy. On 12 December 2011, representatives of the Board of Directors of People's Police Academy was formally organized to welcome Prof Lawrence W. Sherman Ph.D, Faculty of Criminology and Criminal Justice, University of Maryland, United States, to lecture at the People’s Police Academy.
