Implementation of the cooperation plan
between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and Ministry of Security of Laos,
on August 26th, 2014, the high-ranking delegation of Laos People's
Police Academy visited and worked at the People's Police Academy of Vietnam.

Within the framework of cooperation with
the Royal Thai Police, on 30th July, 2014, the PPA welcomed 181
students of Thai police superintendent course led by Major General Sommai Kanjanabha,
Head of the Police College, the Royal Thai Police Education Bureau to visit and
work in Vietnam. Welcoming and working with the delegation were Major General,
Dr. Dang Xuan Khang, Vice President of the PPA and leaders of functional units
of the Academy.

Under the framework of cooperation on
education between People's Police Academy of Vietnam and the Royal Thai Police Academy,
the PPA delegation led by Major General Pham Ngoc Ha, Vice President visited and
worked with the Royal
Thai Police
Academy between the date
of 14th-18th July, 2014. The PPA delegation was received
formally by Lieutenant General Sudka Techakiengkrai, President of the Royal Thai
Police Academy.

Under the invitation of General Tran
Dai Quang, Minister of Public Security of Vietnam, the Delegation of Sri Lanka
Ministry of Law and Order led by Major General Nanda Mallawaarachchi, the Secretary
to the Ministry of Law and Order of Sri Lanka visited and worked at the PPA.

On May 28th, at headquarter
of the PPA, Lieutenant General, Prof.Dr. Nguyen Xuan Yem, President of the Academy
had the meeting with the delegation of Executive Board of International Law
Enforcement Academy (ILEA) in Thailand led by Mr. Federik Stolper, Acting President
of the ILEA. Participating the ILEA’s delegation were General Monthon
Ngernwattana, Royal Thai Police; Mr. Thomas W.Eckert, Security Attaché of the
United States Embassy and Mr. Tomas A.Mandl, official of Political Section of
U.S. Embassy in Vietnam.

In the
framework of cooperation with the Office of the Australian Federal Police (AFP),
on 26th May, 2014, the trainees of 34th Asia Region Law Enforcement
Management Program (ARLEMP) had the presentation at the PPA. Joining the
presentation were numerous officials and lecturers of the faculties, departments
and divisions within the PPA.

Implementing the
decision of the Ministry of Public Security, from 20th to 24th
April, 2014, Major General, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Pham Ngoc Ha, Vice President of the PPA
attended the 3rd Conference of International Association of Police Academy
INTERPA which was hosted by Royal Malaysia Police
College in Putrajaya, Malaysia
with the attendance of 119 participants from 36 countries and 3 international
organizations as INTERPOL, the Association of European Police Colleges AEPC and
ASEANAPOL Secretariat.

On April 17th, 2014, Major
General, Dr. Dang Xuan Khang, Vice President of the PPA welcomed Mr. Daisuke
Sugiyama, former second Secretary (in charge of Police/Security) of the Japan Embassy;
Mr. Hiroshi Konishi, Daisuke Sugiyama’s successor to visit the PPA. Joining the
meeting were representatives of the PPA’s Office, International Cooperation Division
of the PPA and other Units.

On March 27th, Senior Colonel, Assoc.Prof.Dr.
Tran Minh Chat, Vice President of the PPA received the delegation of the
Embassy of the United States in Vietnam led by Mr. Kevin Schwartz, Asia Representative
- Department of Law Enforcement and Drug - Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Joining
the meeting also were leaders and officials of Division of International
Cooperation - the PPA.

On February 27th,
2014, Lieutenant General, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Yem, President of the PPA had a
courtesy meeting with Major General Chris McDevitt, Senior Liaison Officer-Chief
of the Australian Federal Police Office (AFP) in Vietnam.

In 2008, with the consent of the leaders of the
Ministry of Public Security (MPS), the PPA signed the Memorandum of Understanding
on cooperation in training and scientific research with the Royal Police Cadet
Academy (RPCA). One of the important cooperative contents was that the two Academies
would exchange the training for police students of higher education system with
a period of 5 years (including 01 years to learn Thai). In 2009, after the two Academies
discussed and agreed with the contents of cooperation, the MPS decided to send
04 students of the PPA (the high quality class) to the RPCA. These students
were selected from those who had excellent scores at the entrance examination.

On February 25th, 2014, the high-ranking Delegation
from the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) of the State of Israel led by H.E.
Lieutenant General Yitzhak Aharonovitch, Minister of Public Security of Israel visited and worked with the PPA. Attending
the reception were Lieutenant General, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Yem, President of
the PPA; Major General, Dr. Dang Xuan Khang, Vice President of the PPA; Major
General Tran Gia Cuong, Director of Department of International Cooperation;
leaders of functional units within the PPA.

After a week of
exchanging and working at the PPA related to the project for establishment of
the E-library at the PPA, on February 21st, the PPA and the Korea
International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) agreed to sign the Record of Discussion
on the projects.

On February
17th, Lieutenant General, Prof.Dr. Nguyen Xuan Yem, President of the
PPA and Major General, Dr. Dang Xuan Khang, Vice President of the Academy had a
Meeting with the Survey Team of Korean International Cooperation Agency in
Vietnam (KOICA) on the implementation of the project for establishment e-library
at the PPA. Attending the Meeting were Representatives of relevant units such as
Center of Scientific Information and Academic Materials, Project Management
Department, Logistics Department, etc.

In
the framework of cooperation with the British Embassy in Hanoi and the National
Crime Agency (NCA), on February 17th, 2014, the PPA and the British
Embassy in Hanoi held the Opening Ceremony for Anti-money laundering training
workshop at the Hilton Hanoi Opera Hotel.
