To celebrate 69-year traditional day of the
Public Security force (19th August, 1945 - 19th August, 2014),
36 leaders and former leaders of the PPA and units within the Academy through
periods were awarded the Fatherland Defense Order 3rd Class by the
President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam for outstanding achievements in
training and servicing the fight; building the force; keeping the political
security, social order and safety; contributing to the cause of socialist development
and national defense.
On 7th August, 2014, the PPA
was solemnly held the Awarding Ceremony of Fatherland Defense Order 3rd
Class for leaders of Public Security force. Attended and presided the Ceremony
was Lieutenant General, Prof.Dr. Nguyen Xuan Yem, Secretary of Party Committee,
President of the PPA. The members and former members of the Board of Directorate
and units of the Academy also attended the Ceremony.

At the Ceremony, on behalf of the leaders
who were awarded the Order, Colonel Do Quang Pham, former Director of Department
of the PPA showed the honor and proud as being awarded this noble Order. Colonel
Pham thanked the Party and the State for concerning and acknowledging the contributions
of generations of Academy’s leaders through periods. He also expressed his deep
gratitude to the PPA where he was practiced and trained to become “a true member
of the Communist Party, a good policeman of the Public Security force, a
trusted officer of the PPA”.

Speaking at the Ceremony, Lieutenant
General, Prof.Dr. Nguyen Xuan Yem, Secretary of Party Committee, President of
the PPA congratulated and thanked the contributions of the leaders on both
strength and mentality for the development of the Academy. Lieutenant General
Nguyen Xuan Yem proudly asserted that, overcome many difficulties and
challenges in the process of development, nowadays, the PPA made great progress
in many aspects such as the largest training institution; the greatest number
of high quality officers and lecturers; the highest scores of the university
entrance exam and the best facilities among the police training institutions.
He hoped that the young generation of PPA would follow the good tradition of
the previous generations to build the Academy in the new situation.
