Attending the program were representatives of the Department of Police for Fire Prevention and Fighting of Hanoi Capital, University of Fire prevention and Firefighting, Police force of Bac Tu Liem District and Co Nhue Ward, People's Committee of Co Nhue Ward. Lieutenant General, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Yem, President of the PPA; Senior Colonel, Dr. Tran Minh Chat, Vice President of the PPA; leaders of units, officials, employees of the PPA and especially soldiers of the Reserve Special Force Regiment of the Academy attended the event.

The program of professional training on fire prevention and drill of fire rescue was organized to help the officials, teachers, employees, students, especially the Reserve Special Force Regiment of the Academy to raise awareness about fire prevention and fire rescue; recognize the danger, unpredictable consequences and serious damage by fire disaster; prevent initiatively to ensure safety of lives and property; help the participated officers in the drill of fire rescue to get knowledge, specific skills and be calm to solve the situation to minimize the damage for lives and property when the incident occurred.

Speaking at the professional training program, Senior Colonel, Dr. Tran Minh Chat, Vice President of the PPA thanked the support of University of Fire prevention and Firefighting, Police force of Bac Tu Liem District and Cau Giay District; he also praised the efforts of Reserve Special Force Regiment, Faculty of Armed police on organizing the training program and drill of fire rescue. The Vice President required the participants who were taking part in the training program to learn actively the experience to raise awareness and guide the others in the Academy. Especially, after the training program, it was necessary to review and evaluate the existing shortcomings in the preparation, arrangement of firefighting means at the Academy.

After the professional training program on the fire prevention and firefighting in the hall, the drill of fire rescue took place at the main ground and the dining hall of the PPA. The content of the drill program included 2 parts: the first part guided the operations and how to use the firefighting equipment such as fire extinguisher and blanket; the second one instructed how to escape and handle the fire incident.

Observing directly the drill program, Lieutenant General, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Yem, President of the Academy warmly praised the Faculty of Armed police and Reserve Special Force Regiment of the Academy for the good results of the fire rescue drill. For the Reserve Special Force Regiment, the President of the Academy required them to organize continuously the other training programs for each battalion and instruct skills of fire prevention and firefighting for the functional units that had the high risk of fire incident such as Logistics Division, Division of Food supply, etc. Besides, the regiment should take physical exercises to improve health of soldiers and strengthen the fighting spirit in order to handle promptly when incidents of fire occurred. Lieutenant General Nguyen Xuan Yem hoped that the Department of Police for Fire Fighting of Hanoi Capital, University of Fire prevention and Firefighting, Public Security force of North Tu Liem District and Co Nhue 2 Ward would continue to guide, check the facilities and assist the work of fire prevention of the PPA to limit the damage when the incident occurred.
