The talk is one of the activities within the framework of the program "Reading Month" launched by the Library Center from 1^st to 30^th, April, 2014. At the talks, the writer Xuan Thuy shared the basic skills and experiences in reading, finding information serving for learning and researching in the university environment and the representative of the Tinh Van Technology Company also guided the digital equipments and electronic books for the PPA’s officers, lecturers and students.

On the occasion, a lot of readers received the famous books from the writers Xuan Thuy such as “Sat Thu Online”, “Toi ke em nghe chuyen Truong Sa”, “Ngam nhin mat troi”. Besides, the Tinh Van Company sponsored the prizes as USB, headphones and mobile phone for the lucky readers in the program of spinning a wheel for a prize.

Speaking at the talk, Major General, Dr. Dang Xuan Khang, Vice President of the PPA expressed his thank to the writer Xuan Thuy and the Tinh Van Technology Company for their collaboration and support; and warmly praised the efforts and creativity of the PPA Library Center in organizing the talk on reading skills to develop the movements in reading in the whole Academy. He hoped that after the talk, every officers, lecturers and students of the Academy will enhance their aware of the importance and significance of reading, build their self- learning skills and forever learning, actively read to accumulate knowledge, serving the needs of themselves researching, teaching and learning, contributing to improving the quality of education and training of the PPA.

For the sustainable development of the reading movement at the PPA, Vice President Dang Xuan Khang required the PPA’s Library Center to work closely with the functional units and mass organizations in holding activities to propagate the importance of books and reading as holding seminars on book, reading clubs, contests on book... Besides, the Library Center should focus on building the Police Professional Library to become the trusted address, attracted more and more readers

Under the framework of the program "Reading Month", many organizations, units and individuals inside and outside the Academy have donated books to the Library Profession Center. Especially, Lieutenant General, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Yem, President of the People’s Police Academy presented the Library Center the book “Encyclopedia of World Police” in which the content relating to the Vietnam Police was compiled by Lieutenant General Nguyen Xuan Yem. This precious document will serve effectively for researching and teaching of officers, lecturers and students inside and outside the Academy.
