The Conference had the presence of Major General, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Do Ngoc Can - Deputy Director General of General Political Department - Ministry of Public Security; representatives of General Departments, Departments, police training institutions of MPS. On the side of the PPA, Lieutenant General, Prof. Nguyen Xuan Yem - President of the Academy, members of Board of Directors, the former leaders of the Academy and the functional units, the leaders, lecturer and officers of units within the PPA also attended the Conference.

During the past 40 years, the education and training of the PPA has made significant progress, greatly contributed to the Cause of education and training of the Public Security force. In particular, the higher education at the PPA has been built and developed in the interdisciplinary and multi-sector way to meet the basic criteria of key higher education institution of the Public Security force and of the Nation. The curriculum is constantly being renewed for both content and form in order to meet the training needs of high quality human resources of the force. Especially, the PPA has deployed the training under credit system for students of the regular courses; promoted the computerization and modernization of the education management; built the database according to the standards of advanced institutions, etc. The PPA is the first police training institution announced and implemented the outcome standards for students of higher education system.

In the movement “For national security” in period of 2010 - 2015, the PPA has focused on solving 4 breakthroughs: breakthrough in building Party; breakthrough in training of lecturers, scientific researchers, education managers, promoting the movement of good teaching, good learning, good practice; breakthrough in educational and training reform; breakthrough in strengthening infrastructure.

With such significant breakthroughs, from 2010 to 2014, the PPA has been awarded the Emulation Flag by the Prime Minister in 03 consecutive years, numerous collectives and individuals have been awarded the Certificates of Merit at state-level, ministry-level, etc. In particular, to acknowledge the remarkable contributions to education and training of the Public Security force, in 2012, the PPA was awarded the title of Hero of People's Armed Forces and in the occasion of celebrating 45 years of establishment of the PPA, the Academy was awarded the First Class National Defense Medal by the President of the State.

At the Conference, Major General, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Do Ngoc Can highly appreciated the strong development of the PPA during 40 years, he also recognized the achievements, great contributions of the Academy for the Cause of education and training in general and of the Public Security force in particular. Major General Do Ngoc Can believed that the PPA would increasingly grow and be worthy of the leading training institution of the Public Security force.

Through the Conference, Lieutenant General, Prof.Dr. Nguyen Xuan Yem expressed the profound gratitude to the previous generations for their contributions to the development of the PPA. At the same time, he hoped that officers, lecturers and students of the PPA would strive to successfully complete the tasks, contribute to building the Academy to become the key training institution of Ministry of Public Security and of the Nation in 2018 proposed in the Resolution of the 16^th Party Congress of the PPA.
