The program was attended by Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Khanh Toan, former Permanent Deputy Minister of Public Security; Senior Lieutenant General Le The Tiem, former Deputy Minister of Public Security; Major General Vu Hung Vuong, Hero of People’s Armed Forces, former Deputy Director General of Police General Department for Crime Prevention and Suppression; Major General Nguyen Trung Thanh, former Deputy Director General of General Department for Building-up Force, former President of the PPA and Colonel, Poet Phan Gia Lien. As for the PPA were Lieutenant General, Prof.Dr Nguyen Xuan Yem, President of the Academy; the members of Party Committee, Directorate and the representatives of functional units of the Academy.

Following the exchange program, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Khanh Toan, Senior Lieutenant General Le The Tiem, Major General Vu Hung Vuong and Major General Nguyen Trung Thanh reviewed the glorious history of the Public Security force and shared the thoughts and wishes of the previous generations to the younger generation. By the meaningful songs, the young generation of the PPA promised the well learning and practicing to become the good police officers to serve efficiently for the nation and be worthy of the expectations of the previous generation.

The exchange program “Following in the fathers’ footsteps” was the significant cultural event that contributed to educate the tradition, foster the love and pride to the Public Security force in particular and to the nation in general and motivate the young generation of the Academy to follow in the footsteps of the fathers and write the more glorious heroic history in the new era.
