On behalf of the Party Committee, the Directorate of the Academy, Major General, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huy Thuat, Vice President of the PPA made the event speech. He highlighted the maturity of the Public Security force of Vietnam and glorious feats that the armed forces and the people won in the two resistance wars as well as in the process of building the country, contributing to improving the industrialization, modernization and international integration of the country. The great contributions and the outstanding feats of Public Security force over the past 70 years were the results of the ardent patriotism, the absolute faithfulness to the Communist Party, Fatherland and the people; expressed the stable political spirit, wisdom, resilience, courage and creativity of the Public Security force in the work and fight.

The generations of the PPA’s officers, lecturers and students have contributed the effort and wisdom to the glorious achievements of Public Security force. Over 47 years since its establishment, with the responsibility and enthusiasm, the generations of officers, lecturers, employees and students of the PPA have overcome many difficulties and challenges to build the increasingly developing PPA.

Recognizing the achievements and contributions of the PPA for the Cause of education and training as well as the Cause of protecting national security, keeping the social order and safety, the Party and the State has awarded to the PPA many prizes and noble titles, including the First Class Independence Medal (1998), Order of Ho Chi Minh (2003), First Class Military Exploit Medal (2008), the title of Hero of People’s Armed Forces (2012). In particular, on June 26^th, 2015, the Minister of Public Security signed Decision No. 3999/QD-BCA-X11 on the recognition of the PPA as the key higher training institution of the Public Security force.

Attending the Meeting, the representatives, the generations of lecturers and students of the PPA reviewed the glorious history of the people's police force in general and the great contributions of generations of officers, lecturers, employees, students of the PPA in particular; they would be willing to promote the tradition of the heroic agency, actively strive for work, study, training to successfully complete the assigned political tasks; contribution to the Cause of protecting national security, keeping the social order and safety.

At the Meeting, the PPA also announced the Decisions of the President of Vietnam and presented the Medal “For National Security” and the Medal “Glorious Fighter” to 216 individuals for their achievements in training and building the Public Security force, contributing to the Cause of maintaining the political security, social order and safety of the country.
