PPA inaugurates Court-room

Attending the ceremony were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Duc Binh, former chief of the People's Court of Hanoi, Director of Training Institute of Court; Dr. Do Duc Hong Ha, Director of the Training Institute of Justice; Dr. Vu Thi Hong Van, Deputy Rector of the Procurator University; Mr. Nguyen Tuan Vu, Deputy Chief of People's Court of Hanoi; Mr.Nguyen Thanh Son, Deputy Head of the People's Procuracy of Hanoi; representatives of the universities majoring in teaching the Law Speciality. On the side of the PPA, there were Lieutenant General, Prof.Dr. Nguyen Xuan Yem, President  of the Academy, representatives of the functional units, and the number of leaders, teachers and students of Faculty of Law.

 

After 5 years of implementing the Project of the Government on the overall planning, enhancing the training capacity and quality of Public Security training institutions, the PPA was recognized as the key training institution of Public Security force. It is the honor and pride of the officers, teachers, and students of the Academy. To proceed to build the People's Police Academy to become the  key training institutions of the Nation by 2018, the PPA continued to strengthen the development of high-quality human training resource; besides, focus on building teaching material facilities, including the Courtroom. Putting into use of the Courtroom, It is meaningful, not only for enhancing the role and position of the PPA in comparison with the training institutions inside and outside the Public Security force but also contribute to improving the quality of education of the Academy, It is also one of the practical activities to implement the Resolution 29-NQ/TW dated on November 14th, 2013 issued by the 8th Conference of the 11th Central Executive Committee on radical changes in education and training, is a breakthrough in training of the PPA towards linking theory with practice of police work.

Besides, in order to build the People's Police Academy to became a multi-disciplinary training Institution, in 2014, the Academy has opened the Criminal Justice Speciality. The courtroom would certainly contribute to improving the training quality of both Specialities of  Criminal Justice and Criminal Procedure, from that providing the high-quality human resources for the justice sector in particular and the society in general. The Courtroom is used for mobile trial to judge the real cases of the courts at all levels. 

 

Especially, in the future, the PPA will continue to build the relevant functional departments such as object-isolation room, object-custody room... serving for teaching well as the mobile trials at the Academy.

Speaking at the ceremony, Lieutenant General, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Yem, President of the PPA expressed his gratitude for the sponsors and praised the effort of leaders, teachers and students of the Law faculty to support both physically and mentally to build the Courtrooms. At the same time, he also would like that the justice agencies at all levels, the education institutions inside and outside the Public Security force continue to facilitate and assist both in material facilities and human resources, and considered the priority to organize the mobile trials at the PPA to exchange and share experiences for the PPA’s officers, teachers and students. As for the Faculty of Law, he required to plan for the maximize using of the Courtroom, actively coordinate with the People's Court of Hanoi, the People's Procuracy of Hanoi, especially the Academy of Justice, Academy of Court as well as the justice agencies to  organize the mobile trials at the PPA in order to enhance the teaching and studying quality of the Academy.


Overview of  trial

After the inauguration celebration, at the Courtroom, there was a mobile trial to judge defendants Lam Anh Tuan, born in 1962, was prosecuted for the guilty of drug trafficking. The trial was executed in accordance with orders, regulations that help students majoring in Criminal Justice and Criminal Procedure understand more about the process and procedures in the court as well as the regulations of the law, especially the Criminal Law and the Criminal Procedure Law, from that drawing the experiences to use exactly the provisions of law in real situations after graduation.
