On the occasion of 125th anniversary of the birth of
President Ho Chi Minh (May 19th, 1890 - May 19th, 2015),
70th traditional day of the Public Security Force (August 19th,
1945 - August 19th, 2015) and welcome to the 16th Party
Congress of the PPA, on May 12th, 2015, the PPA held the exchange program
with the leaders and officers of Public Security Department of Son La province
about the practical experience on fighting drug related crimes.
The exchange program had the presence of Lieutenant General,
Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Yem - President of the PPA; Major General, Assoc.Prof.
Dr. Pham Ngoc Ha - Vice President of the PPA; Colonel, Dr. Bui Minh Trung -
Head of Faculty of Anti-drug related crime; Lieutenant Colonel Tran Thanh Son -
Head of delegation of Public Security Department of Son La province and all
officers, lecturers and students of the Faculty of Anti-drug related crime and
the police officers of Son La province.
During the exchange, the police officers of Son La province exchanged
and shared the experience in the fight against weapon use and organized crime
related to drug trafficking in Son La province. The officers, lecturers and
students of the Faculty of Anti-drug related crime were delivered to the
reports on the situation, results in the fight against crime in general and
drug related crime in particular in Son La province; the case of fighting
against almost 30 suspects on May 3rd, 2015 and seized 160 bars of heroin
in the border area of Van Ho district, Son La province. On behalf of the officers,
lecturers and students of the PPA, Colonel, Dr. Bui Minh Trung - Head of Faculty
of Anti-drug related crime expressed the profound thanks to the attention and support
of Public Security Department of Son La province.

The exchange contributed to clarifying the theory and
practice of the fight against drug related crime, especially the fire-armed
gangs of drug trafficking; strengthened the political spirit and professional knowledge
