As usual, when the old year comes to an end and the New Year
unfolds, it is time for people to be reunited with families and enjoy the cozy atmosphere.
To the PPA’s overseas students in
Russia, in spite of being far away from homelands and relatives, welcoming to the
New Year together with their comrades also brought them the feeling of happiness
as well as cheerfulness.
First days of
the New Year in Russia, students usually have a winter holiday lasting for
weeks. It is high time they refreshed their bodies and minds after hard days,
looked back to what they had done in the previous year. To the PPA’s overseas
students, they have had difficulty in adapting with new harsh environment after
moving here in November 2014. However, with a great of efforts and attempts,
they overcame all of these obstacles to adjust themselves well and to get
expectant achievements.
To prepare for
New Year’s coming, the PPA’ overseas students cleaned and decorated their rooms
as a way to throw away the bad luck and hope for better things in the following
year. It was extremely cold with heavy snow in these days in Russia.
Nevertheless, they still went down the street to see the New Year in and contemplate
great firework performance. Afterward, they had a New Year’ Eve supper
together, told funny stories in daily lives and gave the best wishes to one another.

On studying and
training in foreign country, the PPA’s overseas students had to leave their families
and friends behind. Homesickness was a part of their lives, particularly in the
New Year, it raised up strongly. As a result, the comradeliness was as a
precious present giving them motivation along with support to put up with
challenges and get over obstacles.
The New Year 2015
is coming with new hopes and chances. It
is hoped that all of the PPA’s overseas students in Russia will be stronger and
get more success in order to apply what they have learnt into practice for a
better life!
