New contributions of the thesis:
1. The thesis develops theories of murder and investigation of murder cases. On the basis of theoretical and practical research, the thesis concentrates to the process of organizing and conducting murder case investigation through 3 stages: preparation, implementation and termination of investigation.
2. The thesis clarifies the situation and characteristics relating to experimental activities of investigating murder cases such as the crime of murder and the results of investigation and handling; Criminal characteristics of murder crimes in Southern provinces and cities such as the practical situation of investigating the murder cases according to the function of the criminal police forces of the Southern provinces. Based on the results of the investigation, the thesis provides the comments, general assessment of the advantages, limitations and causes for building the system of solutions.
3. The thesis predicts the situation of murder crime in the Southern provinces and cities as well as the factors that influences to the activities of investigating under the functions of the Criminal Police; proposes 7 feasible solutions to improve the practical effectiveness of the criminal investigation in the Southern provinces and cities in the coming time.
