On March 21st, 2016, the delegates
of Royal Thai Police Academy led by Major General Sophon Srivapot - Vice
President of Academy visited and held a talk with the PPA. Major General, Prof.
Dr. Dang Xuan Khang - Vice President of the PPA received the delegation.
At the talk, Leaders of the PPA and
the Royal Thai Police Academy reviewed the results of cooperation between the
two Academies in recent years and discussed new line of cooperation in the
coming time. Since the PPA and the Royal Thai Police Academy signed the MOU in
2009, the two Academies have implemented many practical cooperation activities,
such as: student exchanges, organizing the short-term training course on crime
prevention, exchanging high-level delegations, organizing scientific
conferences and participating in the academic exchanges and martial arts

Responding to the Vice President of
Royal Thai Police Academy, Major General, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Dang Xuan Khang - Vice
President of the PPA expressed his pleasure for the visit of the Thai
delegation and briefed the 48-year history process of building and development
of the PPA as well as the direction of development of the Academy in the near
future.
Vice President of PPA confirmed that
last time the PPA had implemented closely and effectively the cooperation in
training and enhancing the capacity for staffs, teachers, gained a lot of
achievements in the Cause of education and training, contributing to supplementing
the high qualified human resources for the Public Security force. He hoped that
the two Academies would exchange and come into agreement in the important
issues of cooperation in order to further improve the MOU between the two
Academies.

On behalf of the delegation of Royal
Thai Police Academy, Major General Sophon Srivapot expressed his profound
thanks to leaders of the MPS of Vietnam and the PPA for spending time to receive
the delegation, and confirmed that the Royal Thai Police Academy would continue
to promote the traditional friendship and cooperation between the two countries
in general and the two police forces in particular to support and together
build a sustainable development in the future.
Before, in the framework of
cooperation program between the PPA of Vietnam and the Royal Thai Police
Academy, under the consent of the MPS, on March 15th, 2015, the PPA organized
the training courses on crime prevention to enhance professional capacity for
20 staffs, students of the Royal Thai Police Academy.

During the training process, the
PPA’s lecturers focused on special lessons on International cooperation; Crime
prevention and combating in general and high-tech crime prevention in
particular; Criminal science forensic; Traffic police and Practical activities
of military - martial arts.
