Hanns Seidel Foundation is a political fund that acts on behalf of the Bavarian State Parliament mainly in the field of service of democracy, peace and development. The key tasks of this Fund are to train and raise the consciousness of the people; support the implementation of the rights of citizens; sponsor the scholarships for excellent students and postgraduates and do the task of international cooperation. The Hanns Seidel Foundation currently has the representative offices in 30 countries around the world that operate mainly on policy advice. In Southeast Asia, the Hanns Seidel Foundation has representative offices in Vietnam, the Philippines, Myanmar, Thailand, Laos and Indonesia. In Vietnam, the Fund has had many years of cooperation with the Ministries in the areas such as regional and international integration, environmental protection, combating climate change and sustainable development.

At the meeting, the President of the PPA thanked Hanns Seidel Foundation for their cooperation with the Academy in recent years; introduced the education and training work of the PPA, especially  the training of specialties of environmental crime prevention and international cooperation activities of the Academy with the aim to establish and maintain the cooperative relationships with partners in the fields of training of police, law enforcement and crime prevention.

Representative of the Office of the Hanns Seidel Foundation in Hanoi, Mr. Axel Neubert introduced the activities of the Hanns Seidel Foundation in Vietnam, in Southeast Asia and around the world. Mr. Axel Neubert also expressed the desire to cooperate with the Academy in the field of environmental protection, regional cooperation, sharing books and materials for the training of the Academy.

After discussion, the two sides agreed to implement some cooperation activities in the coming time such as: co-organize the international conferences on environmental protection; send the delegations of the PPA to attend the regional workshops and training courses organized by the Hanns Seidel Foundation with the appropriate themes; organize the training courses on enhancing capacity for police on crime prevention related to environment; exchange of research materials to serve the training of the Academy.

Also at the meeting, the President of the PPA invited the representatives of the Office of Hanns Seidel Foundation in Hanoi to attend the Exhibition of achievements in educational science of the Academy on May 13^th, 2015. Mr. Axel Neubert gladly accepted the invitation.
