In the framework of
cooperation between the PPA and the Royal
Thai Police
Academy, on March 17th, 2015,
the PPA held the opening ceremony on the training courses on crime prevention for
the officers of the Royal
Thai Police
Academy.
Attending the ceremony were Mr
Weerasak Tipmonthien, Minister Counsellor of the Embassy of Thailand in Vietnam; Lieutenant Colonel Teerawit Thonglaung,
Deputy Director of the Police Training Centre, Head of Delegation of the Royal Thai
Police Academy.
As for the PPA were Major General, Dr. Dang Xuan Khang, Vice President of the Academy;
the representatives of the functional units and the participants of the
training course.

In recent time, under the agreement
of the MPS, the PPA has implemented many effective cooperating activities with
the Royal Thai Police
Academy. The two Academies
has regular exchanged the high-level delegations and students for sharing
experiences in the police training as well as in fighting against crime. In
particular, on the basis of the MOU was signed between the two Academies, the
student-exchanging programs has been successfully implemented with 4 students of the PPA graduated
from the Royal Thai Police
Academy. Besides, the two
Academies have successfully organized the Scientific Conference
"Prevention of transnational crime in the context of establishing ASEAN
Community - Experience of Vietnam and Thailand".

Following the achieved
results, on March 17th, 2015, the PPA organized a training course on
crime prevention for officers the Royal
Thai Police
Academy. During the
10-day studying process, the trainees will research the useful topics on
international cooperation in the crime prevention in general; the prevention
for drug-related crime; high-teach crime in particular. The topics of the
training course are delivered in order to create a scientific methodology for
the trainees in recognizing, evaluating and solving the problems on fighting
against crime in reality. Especially, the professional knowledge from the reality
of fighting against crime in Vietnam
would help the trainees to have the opportunity to gain the useful knowledge
and experience, which serve effectively for the work of police education and
training as well as scientific research activities.
During the training course,
the PPA will arrange the full-experienced lecturers to exchange directly on the
classroom, organize program for the class to visit and listen to the practical
reports, which enable the trainees for both studying and exchanging the
experience on crime prevention in the context of globalization and
international integration.
