Attending the Meeting were Major General, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Dang Xuan Khang, Vice President of the PPA; leaders of departments, divisions and centers within the Academy; Executive Committee of the Youth Union, the Labor Union and all members of the Women’s Union at PPA.

At the meeting, the delegates reviewed the history of the International Women’s Day and highlighted the glorious tradition of Vietnamese women in general, women of Public Security force in particular, as well as their significant contributions to national construction and development. This was occasion for expressing honor to achievements of PPA women.

In 2016, the Women’s Union of the Academy actively responded to the emulating movements launched by the higher women organizations such as the movement “Women of the Public Security Force learn and follow the moral example of President Ho Chi Minh; discipline, creativity for national security, building happy families”.

Furthermore, with more than 1000 members, the PPA Women’s Union has still been daily devoted to the Cause of building and developing the Academy. Members actively responded to the movement "Good Teaching", participated in scientific research. Many of them have won the title “Excellent Lecturers of MPS” such as Major Nguyen Thi Minh Trang - Foreign Languages ​​ Faculty, Captain Nguyen Thi Thoa - Law Faculty.

Especially,  promoting the spirit of creativity, the PPA Women’s Union successfully organized the contest “ Excellent Women Lecturers”, contributing to enhancing the movement "good teaching, good learning" in the whole Academy, encouraging women lecturers to innovate, improve the content and methods of teaching, meeting the new requirements of education and training; coordinated with the Center for Criminology & Criminal Investigation to organize a training course on "Preventing and combating human-trafficking, trafficking of women and children" for ethnic minorities in Son La province, aiming to propaganda, dissemination and education of the law on trafficking and the skills of prevention and detection of this crime.

The PPA Women’s Union also presented 1,500 gifts to disadvantaged children, families of wounded Soldiers and martyrs on the occasion of Vietnamese Family Day, International Children's Day and Mid-Autumn Festival, Wounded Soldiers and Martyrs Day;  organized the program "Warm winter”, donated 40 gifts (worth more than 30,000,000 VND) for disadvantaged ethnic minorities in Son La.

The Women’s Union Branches of the PPA was presented the Certificate 

of Merit for their achievements in the work of the Union in 2016

With a positive contribution to the work of the Union in 2016, the Women’s Union of the PPA was awarded the Certificate of Merit by Vietnam Women’s Union; many members were rewarded Certificate of Merit at all levels.

Speaking at the Ceremony, Major General, Assoc.Prof, Dr. Dang Xuan Khang - Vice President of the PPA expressed his best wish to PPA women on  occasion of International Women's Day and praised the achievements of officers and members of Women Union. Simultaneously, Vice President hoped that the Union would continue to promote the achievements, renovate the education, politics, ideology of officers, teachers and members, detect and replicate typical women, focus on promoting the quality of team of leaders, etc to enhance the movement of the Union, the PPA and the Ministry of Public Security, contributing to the victory of political missions of the Public Security Forces in general and the PPA in particular.
