The Evening Gala - Welcoming New Year 2017 was held by the Foreign Languages Department and the Youth Union of the PPA for the purposes of creating joyful and excited atmosphere in officials and students of the Academy; increasing communication, solidarity and friendship between Vietnamese students and international ones studying at the Academy as well as enhancing the cooperation between the PPA and international organizations and partnership universities. This was also a chance for the officers and students of the PPA to learn about the traditional culture and customs of some countries in the world.

Opening the Evening Gala, on behalf of the Party Committee, Directorate of the PPA, Major General, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Dang XuanKhang, Vice President of the Academy spoke the Opening Speech in English to send the new year greetings to all of officers, lecturers, employees and students of the PPA as well as the domestic and foreign partners with the wish to have a happy and successful new year, strive for completing excellently all assigned tasks.

The program ended with emotions

At the Gala, all of performances were arranged spectacularly and meticulously, expressed the culture of many countries around the world. Each item showed not only talents but also language skills of the Vietnamese students such as the male duets of Thailand song "You and only you", female duets of Chinese song "Girl of Ali mountain”, drama "Romeo and Juliet”. Besides, the Gala also attracted performances by the students of Laos, Cambodia and students of the PPA’s partnerssuch as singing and dancing performance "Love of Laos-Vietnam"by Lao students studying at the PPA, Public Security Logistics - Technique Universitywith a potpourri of song “Someone like You” and "Radio Actice”, Navileramodern dance of the Academy of Journalism and Communication, dancing Merry Christmasof the People’s Security Academy. All the performance made the Gala more cheerful and received passionate support of the audiences.

The Gala welcoming the New Year was as a colorfultouring train bringing the audiences to the cultural space of Laos, Thailand, Britain, France, China, Korea, Russia ... and was also a playground of cultureexchanges, expressing the friendship between Vietnam and international friends.

At the end of the Evening Gala, all of the representatives, students and audiences held hands and sang the potpourri of songs welcoming the New Year 2017. This last performance left the deep impression about the emotional Evening Gala and promised the more meaningful and special ones in the next years.
